Discovery at Cortez Hill is a prestigious and luxury residential high-rise building, situated at the highest point in San Diego’s Downtown core. As these buildings constituted of large French windows, solar heat entering into the premise is one major problem, which the residents in Discovery faced. In addition, the energy costs resulting from the high air-conditioning load has also forced the management to look for a solution to solve the above-mentioned problems.
